Vita

Dominic M. Dresen is a research assistant at FREY Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft. After successfully graduating from the commercial high school in Brühl, he studied law at the University of Cologne with a focus on Intellectual Property and Competition.

Mr. Dresen already worked as a student assistant for our law firm since the beginning of his studies before he was employed by Professor Michael Sachs at the University of Cologne. As a student assistant there, he supported the Chair of Constitutional and Administrative Law in publishing scientific articles and preparing lectures.

Since accomplishing the first state examination in 2020, Mr. Dresen has been working as a research assistant for our law firm. Besides, he is currently completing his doctorate (PhD) on a sports and antitrust law topic in eSports at the University of Cologne. Furthermore, he is co-authoring Professor Dieter Frey in his legal handbook "eSport und Recht" (eSports and Law), contributing to the following chapters: § 8 Etablierung von Ligen (Establishment of leagues) as well as § 14 Investoren (Investors).

Vita

Carl M. Rudolph is working as a research assistant for FREY Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft. After graduating from high school in Rostock, in October 2016 he started studying law at the University of Cologne.

Mr. Rudolph has been supporting our law firm since the beginning of his studies, initially as a student assistant and since April 2019 as a research assistant.

In addition to his studies and working at Frey Rechtsanwälte, Mr. Rudolph is also a legal advisor at the Corporate Law Clinic e.V. There, he advises start-ups, especially from the technology sector, in their start-up phase on intellectual property issues.

His working languages are German and English.

Vita

Sebastian P. Schlingmann is a student assistant at FREY Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft. After graduating from high school and staying abroad in Canada for six months he began studying law with a focus on Media and Communication Law at the University of Cologne in October 2018.

Mr. Schlingmann already worked as a student assistant at the Institute of Insurance Law of the University of Cologne under Professor Christian Rolfs. After an internship at FREY Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft he joined our law firm as a student assistent in November 2020.
