Dr. Hanno Magnus, born in 1988, has been an associated lawyer at FREY Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft since July 2021. He studied law at the universities of Bonn and Straßburg with focus on international law.
During his subsequent legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, Mr. Magnus worked in a chamber for commercial matters at the regional court of Bonn, in a practice group for IP, media and technology law at a major German law firm with an international focus in Cologne, the German embassy in Washington DC and the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection in the Department for Copyright in Berlin.
After the second state examination he worked as research assistant at the institute of law and technology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg Doctoral candidate at the Chair of Private Law, Intellectual Property and Technology Law of Professor Franz Hofmann. The topic of his doctoral thesis is „Fernkontrolle im Internet der Dinge – Einsatz und Umgehung“.
